ARMELLE GOUYET

Dreamlike portraiture in black and white
Sculpting Intimacy Through Light and Form
Festival Workshop
Sale price€1.790,00 Finance my workshop

Over these four immersive days in Venice, Armelle Gouyet invites participants to explore a sensitive, timeless photography, where nature, femininity and emotion become the guiding threads of creation.

In the inspiring setting of the Venetian lagoon, participants will learn to move beyond mere representation to build images charged with poetry and inner resonance. Venice's natural light and singular atmosphere will serve as a field of exploration for a deeply personal photographic approach.

Each participant will be invited to present their own work at the start of the workshop. This step will allow Armelle to better understand each person's world and to offer personalised guidance to refine the artistic intentions and creative directions developed during the stay.

The shooting sessions will take place with a model and will approach portrait-making as an emotional language. Particular attention will be paid to composition, the simplicity of the frame, the relationship between the subject and their environment, and the use of black and white as a tool of expression. Participants will explore how to translate their sensations, memories and imaginings into images that are at once strong, delicate and timeless.

This workshop is open to anyone who has mastered the basics of their photographic equipment and wishes to deepen a personal approach while benefiting from attentive, individual guidance.

The workshop will conclude with a collective presentation of the work produced, giving everyone the opportunity to share their vision and discover that of the other participants.

Bio

Armelle Gouyet acquired her first camera at the age of fourteen. Photography quickly became a lifelong companion. After studies in literature and advertising, she devoted herself entirely to her practice.

Over the past six years, her work has taken on greater depth and individuality. Her creations draw inspiration from nature, beauty, the elegance of her models, and the world of dreams. She seeks to transmit emotion rather than focus on technical detail, favouring atmosphere, softness, and poetic intuition. Her portraits evoke an inner world where light becomes a language of its own.
