“Street photography is about being in the present. I love observing people and the challenge of organizing the visual clutter of a busy city into a single, split-second frame while being immersed in everyday life — capturing and documenting the now.”
- Nina Welch Kling
This workshop focuses on visual storytelling through street photography, inspired by Nina Welch-Kling’s quiet, observational approach. Street photography, for Nina, is about being fully present — observing people, organizing visual complexity, and distilling everyday life into a single, decisive moment that captures the now.
Set within Venice’s narrow streets, shifting light, reflective canals, and unpredictable encounters, participants will explore how mood, atmosphere, gesture, and subtle narrative cues can shape a short photographic story. Through guided shooting sessions, editing labs, and group critiques, participants will develop a coherent visual narrative that reflects both place and personal voice.
